Earthship Europe is meant to be a central point for European non-profit earthship organisations, European earthship projects, volunteers willing to work on European earthship projects and European earthship communities alike.
This is an effort to try and get some more coordination and cooperation on a European level.
Flagship Europe somehow became the research and development department of Earthship Europe. But in the same time it is a title an actual building can hold for a while for getting nearest to the flagship criteria.
The idea was a contribution of Earthship Sweden to Earthship Europe.
The first spark of the European Earthship Builders United idea was born on a Belgian/Dutch expedition of Earthship Belgium to Sweden. It was about a small group of people from two different countries helping out a total stranger in a third country on a voluntary base to build his home for his family.
